22-pistepirkko x-mas 2012 FREE download EP
----------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks to all of you who've been following around.
We have this little, unpolished gift for you. x-mas 2012

If you like it rawer this might be for you
All 7 songs are minidisc audience recordings from various gigs in Finland.Rare versions, mainly when the band still tested songs for the latest 3 studio albums

>> Around "Drops & Kicks" album:

(track 1). - To set the direction right the EP starts off with a rare track, an earlier Espe's version of "Soul Free" . Here it's a slow rocking tune, quite different from the Soul Free studio version, which ended up on the album.

(track 2) - From the same era comes an early test on "Sweet Boy" , at that time the boy was just "Nice..."

(track 3) - The only past-album release recording on the EP is "Midnight Owl" , live at Tavastia. The final (demo)studio version of the odd rocker didn't make it to the official single album release, but only as B-Side on the Rat King single (as well as on the French 2CD version and on the 2LP vinyl).

(track 4) - And finally from that time a song that has a never been recorded in the studio, now called "Back2Back"

>> From "(Well You Know) Stuff Is Like We Yeah" time.

(track 7) - As the EP's closing song there's "Close", which came out as a Single B-Side. The Thanks version is from a small club/bar gig in Helsinki's Belly, which has Espe and Asko adding some backing vocals, and the audience close to the minidisc constant chatting.

>> Fom "Lime Green DeLorean" period

(track 5) - "Storm Radio" a nice "country" rocker whose softer studio version didn't quite fit on the album, but got its special place as the opening song for the recently released Boxset (5 CD / 1 DVD) "The Singles".

(track 6 ) - In a similar vein comes "Number One" a fuzzy and loose country rock version.
